Le modèle que j'ai testé est composé de trois couches : un corps flexible en acier inoxydable recouvert d'un alliage d'aluminium et d'une gaine en silicone alimentaire. C'est un net progrès par rapport aux plastiques fragiles des générations précédentes.
Au toucher, il est dense mais souple. Il conserve sa forme lorsqu'on le plie, ce qui est essentiel pour ajuster l'angle de la caméra en fonction de la morphologie du torse. La gaine en silicone résiste à la transpiration et offre une adhérence suffisante aux vêtements pour empêcher la caméra de glisser sous son seul poids. Avec un poids d'environ 180 grammes, il est plus lourd qu'une simple dragonne mais plus léger qu'un harnais de poitrine. Lors d'une randonnée de six heures, la répartition du poids sur les trapèzes était imperceptible. On l'oublie jusqu'à ce qu'on en ait besoin.
Le système de verrouillage magnétique
L'élément central de ce support est son mécanisme de verrouillage magnétique. Les premières versions utilisaient uniquement des clips à friction, qui avaient tendance à casser. La norme actuelle 2026 emploie des aimants néodyme N52 disposés en cercle, renforcés par un verrouillage mécanique à quart de tour.
Avec une DJI Action 5 Pro, la fixation est instantanée. Un clic net et précis confirme l'enclenchement. J'ai testé la solidité du maintien en sautant de rocher en rocher et en traversant des broussailles denses. Si les aimants sont suffisamment puissants pour maintenir la caméra à l'envers, le verrouillage mécanique offre la sécurité nécessaire. Je n'ai jamais eu l'impression que la caméra risquait de se détacher, même lorsqu'elle s'est brièvement accrochée à une branche.
Performance : Le test de stabilité
C'est là que réside le conflit entre praticité et physique. Un support pectoral est solidement fixé au torse ; il bouge avec vous. Un support de cou, lui, repose sur vous. En marchant à un rythme normal, la vidéo est étonnamment stable, notamment grâce au logiciel de stabilisation avancé des caméras d'action modernes comme l'Action 5 Pro.
Cependant, dès que vous accélérez le pas et que vous vous mettez à courir, l'effet pendulaire se manifeste. La caméra rebondit contre le sternum, créant un bruit sourd et rythmé dans l'audio et des tremblements verticaux dans la vidéo que même la meilleure stabilisation électronique (EIS) peine à corriger. Pour les activités statiques – pêche, cuisine au camping ou bricolage – il offre l'angle parfait. Pour les mouvements dynamiques, il est moins performant qu'un support pectoral dédié.
Le point décisif : les limites de réglage vertical
Chaque équipement a son défaut majeur, et pour ce support, c'est la limite d'inclinaison verticale. La caméra étant positionnée relativement haut sur la poitrine, filmer ses mains oblige à l'incliner fortement vers le bas. Selon la longueur du support et votre morphologie, le boîtier peut heurter votre poitrine avant d'atteindre un angle de 90 degrés.
Si vous créez du contenu nécessitant de montrer ce qui se trouve directement sur vos genoux (comme faire un nœud ou lire une carte), vous risquez de vous retrouver à adopter une posture inconfortable. C'est un problème de géométrie qui n'a pas été entièrement résolu dans les modèles de 2026.

Le support de cou suspendu ne remplace pas un équipement professionnel pour les situations extrêmes, mais il est très pratique pour les voyageurs et les adeptes du minimalisme. Il simplifie considérablement le tournage : on le porte et on l'oublie. Pour capturer l'essence d'un lieu sans ressembler à un cyborg, c'est l'outil idéal. Cependant, si votre itinéraire comprend des sprints ou de l'escalade, emportez la sangle pectorale en cas de besoin. C'est un ajout pratique à tout équipement technologique durable.
